JHM "Solid" shifter for A4, 1997 - 1999.5(early)PROUDLY DESIGNED AND BUILT IN CALIFORNIA
NOTE: This shifter REQUIRES you to source an OEM plastic base from the newer 1999.5 to 2001.5 B5 A4 thus upgrading you to the newer design and eliminating your Push Down Reverse feature for better performance just like all 99.5 and up 5-speed A4s. to determine your shifter year and confirm your car is really an early (push down reverse) or late style (non-push down reverse).
INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING - new JHM Steel shaft with optimized length, , Tig Welded Steel lower link, Delrin Bushings and all other hardware. Retains stock shifter knob. Instructions are not included with the package, just use the video links below and watch prior to installing.

JHM Delrin shifter stabilizer bushing for B5/B6 A4 5-speed, 1997 - 2004
INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING - JHM Delrin 2-piece bushing to replace the OEM rubber bushing, 1 - steel washer, 1 - Mounting bolt and 1-steel bushing insert.
(This bushing is located at the transmission and is separate from our shifter)

NOTE: This bushing will transfer more noise and vibration to your shifter and shifter box vs. the stock rubber bushing. This is what gives you the enhanced feel and confidence when shifting. This is recommended for serious enthusiasts only; who want to fully compliment their JHM solid short throw shifter and linkage upgrade and want their car to shift as precise as possible.
JHM Solid Linkage Upgrade for B5/B6 A4 5-speed, 1997 - 2004
Complete linkage upgrade kit for B5/B6 A4/Passat, 1997 - 2004 w 5-speed transmission only. This upgrade fits ALL 1998-2004 A4s and only SOME 1997s with the U-joint style linkage. to verify your linkage style if you have a 97. NOTE: If you have a 1996 or 1997 A4 and get a U-joint style linkage rod from a 1998-2001 A4 you can use this kit.
INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING - JHM Steel u-joint to replace the OEM rubber joint, 4 - PTFE washers, 2 - New hardened shoulder bolts w locking nuts and synthetic grease.
(This linkage is located at the transmission and is separate from our shifter.) This linkage fits all B5 B6 A4s and Passats with 5-sped transmissions.
COMES AS A COMPLETE DO IT YOURSELF KIT Only drilling is required to remove the factory rubber joint.
