The HEL Performance multi-angle solid billet oil filter sandwich plate comes with a built-in thermostat, which prevents the flow of oil to the cooler until the engine oil reaches the desired temperature. This allows for both a faster warmup and also extra protection in cold environments over a non-thermostatic sandwich plate. If your oil temperature dips the thermostat will close again enabling your oil to stay at its optimum temperature. Available thermostat options are 82C (black H) or 92C (red H) giving you even more control of your oil temperature. Due to the clever multi-angle configuration, you can have the oil cooler hoses coming out straight or at a 45 degree angle, useful for when engine space is tight and there isn't much room to route the oil lines. You can attach both oil temperature and oil pressure sensors using 1/8" NPT sensor port adapters (optional). If you prefer not to use the sensor ports, we include blanking plugs as standard. Machined from 6082-T6 solid billet aluminium in-house at HEL's United Kingdom headquarters and finished in a hard-wearing anodised grey.
