• When the engine is running the Charge Guard senses the voltage and allows the charge through the auxiliary battery.
• When the engine is switched off the Charge Guard senses the voltage drop and separates and isolates both batteries.
• This means that equipment powered from the auxiliary battery cannot drain the starting battery so there is always sufficient power in the starting battery to start the engine.
